Akira (1984)
Akira is Katsuhiro Otomo's cyberpunk manga, serialized from 1982 to 1990. Decades after a mysterious explosion levels Tokyo and triggers World War III, biker-gang leader Kaneda and his friend Tetsuo roam the crime-ridden sprawl of Neo-Tokyo, until an accident draws Tetsuo into a secret government program studying dangerous psychic children.
