For publishers and creators
Your comics, where collectors already are
VerseDB is where comic collectors track what they own and what they are reading. Studio is the publisher side of it: upload your books, sell them or release them free, and land on the pages those readers use.
Free, on your regular VerseDB account. You keep your rights and can take a book down whenever you want.
That's the catalog your book lands in. You don't have to build the audience first.
Uploads
Your book goes in the main catalog
An upload becomes a series and an issue in the main VerseDB catalog, filed beside the other 1,108,075 issues. Those are the pages collectors use to track and read what they own.
- ✓ A CBZ, or images one at a time pages are reprocessed for the reader, so you prepare one size
- ✓ Price it or give it away stream it in the reader, hand over a CBZ, or both
- ✓ Reviewed before it ships a quality and rights check runs before readers can open it
Campaigns
Put a live campaign in front of collectors
List a campaign that's running on Kickstarter or any other platform and we put a banner and a link on the matching series, issue and publisher pages. VerseDB doesn't run, host or fund campaigns.
- ✓ Kickstarter, Indiegogo, BackerKit or Zoop and anywhere else, under Other
- ✓ Shown on the series and its issues and on your publisher page
- ✓ Pledges stay on your platform this is promotion, not a pledge platform
Access codes
Codes that unlock your issues
Generate codes that open an issue for free: press copies, giveaways, convention keys, backer rewards. Redeeming one takes a VerseDB account and nothing else.
- ✓ One code or thousands or import a backer list as CSV and mint a key per recipient
- ✓ Limit the uses and set an expiry or leave both open
- ✓ Redemptions counted per code so you can see which batch was used
Claiming
Find your publisher, then claim it
Studio has no create-a-publisher path. The catalog holds 9,882 publishers, so you search for yours and submit an ownership claim instead. A person reads every one.
- ✓ Company details and one document a registration, licence, trademark or signed contract naming your company
- ✓ A verified business email on the domain the company uses
- ✓ Reviewed by hand and we come back to you if something is missing

Questions creators ask
- What file formats does Studio accept?
- Upload a CBZ archive, or add pages one at a time as individual images. Pages are reprocessed for the reader automatically — you don't need to prepare multiple sizes yourself.
- Do I still own what I upload?
- Uploading grants VerseDB a non-exclusive hosting license and nothing more. You can take a book down at any time. You remain free to publish or sell it anywhere else — VerseDB doesn't ask for exclusivity.
- What happens after I submit an upload?
- Every upload gets a quality and rights check before readers can open it. You'll see its status from your dashboard the whole way through.
- Can I sell a book, or does it have to be free?
- Set a price in US dollars, or leave it empty to give the issue away. A paid issue can open its first pages as a free preview, and readers can stream it in the VerseDB reader, download a CBZ, or both.
- Does VerseDB host or fund crowdfunding campaigns?
- No. List a campaign that's already running on Kickstarter or another platform and VerseDB shows a banner and a link on the matching series, issue, or publisher page. Pledges stay where the campaign lives.
- My publisher isn't on VerseDB yet — what do I do?
- With over 1M issues already cataloged, check first — most publishers are already here under an existing page. If yours genuinely is missing, contact support and we'll get it added and linked to your account.
