Nancy is the title character of Ernie Bushmiller's American newspaper strip. She began as a supporting player in Fritzi Ritz and proved popular enough that the feature was renamed for her in 1938. Her best friend is Sluggo Smith, and the strip's deadpan gag style has influenced cartoonists since.
