Jane is the wife of the title character in Masaya Tokuhiro's Jungle King Tar-chan, a gag parody of Tarzan serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1988 and continued as New Jungle King Tar-chan until 1995. She answers to Edgar Rice Burroughs' Jane Porter and lives with Tar-chan in the African savanna.
