Andy Panda is an anthropomorphic giant panda created by Walter Lantz Productions, debuting in the 1939 animated short Life Begins for Andy Panda. Dell Comics began publishing him in the early 1940s. The 1940 cartoon Knock Knock, which featured Andy, is also where Woody Woodpecker first appeared.
